As I wake on this fourth of July morning, I am reminded that I am Free!
Today is the day we honor the fallen who have given up their lives for my freedom and yours. Today we honor those brave men and woman who came before us and fought for the right to be free, The men and woman of the Marines, Navy, Airforce and Army of the United States of America have given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. They have stood tall and fought for the rights we enjoy today.
Lady Liberty stands tall with her torch lit for those who are searching for freedom and come here to be with the strong, and the brave free people of America.
The American flag is the symbol of what was accomplished by those who came before us and should be honored as that great symbol of truth and justice as it was intended.
There are some who want to forget about our triumphs over evil but there are many more like me who still hold the spark that was lit on the first July 4th in 1776.
The spark that still lies in many of our hearts and minds for this great country and are hoping and praying for a better way to life today.
On July 4th, 1776, the Continental Congress formally adopted the Declaration of Independence establishing the United States of America.
Our Declaration of Independence reminds us “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness!
On this Independence Day let’s be reminded that we all in this together!
It does not matter what nationality you are or whether your young, old, man or woman, black, white, yellow or purple, we are all connected to each other and to this great land we call home. Today honor each other as we continue to fight for this right to remain free! Let’s bring peace and love back into our nation and connection to each other. Love will find a way if we choose it!
